Newton British School Assemblies

Our assemblies are very important to us and we have now had a number of excellent assemblies.

The assemblies run as follows: Early Years (Preschool and Reception) and Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) assemblies are separate from Key Stage Two (Years 3,4,5,6) assemblies and so we now have two assemblies on Thursday. The Key Stage Two assembly starts at 7.00am and will finish at around 7.30am. The Early Years and Key Stage One assembly will start at 7.35am and finish at 8.00am.

We love to see as many parents at the assemblies as possible so please come along and support the children as they love to have an audience.

This week the Early Years and Key Stage One assembly was lead by Year Two Red. They told us all about the lives of Wolves. They had information about habitat and families and life and all there is to know about Wolves. What a great time the children are having in Year Two Red.

Thank you so much for sharing your work with us all.

This week it was the turn of Year Four Red and Mr Houston to tell us what they had been looking at in class. The children has researched one of the Wonders of The World, The Taj Mahal. They showed us a montage of Power Point Presentations that they had worked on. They gave us a verbal recount of the love between Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan. Then they performed a song called I can show you the world, which was sung beautifully. Well done.

As we grow, the school assemblies continue to be an important focal point for everyone, students, parents and teachers alike. They are held in the gym on a Thursday morning and we would love to see as many parents at them so that you can see the wonderful work that the children do each week.

The assemblies will continue to celebrate success and achievement and we look forward to seeing you at them on a regular basis. So why not come and join in at the next assembly on Thursday 9th June 2011.
